While "Drone" videos are forbidden within the National Park boundaries, there is one place to capture the splendor of Mount Rainier and the surrounding terrain while remaining outside the Park Boundary.This flight starts with a climb to the top of
Naches Peak overlooking the Park and Tipsoo Lake and then a reverse view of the
American River Valley looking toward Yakima, WA.Filmed with a DJI Phantom 3 Pro UAV with the raw video set to 4K at 30 frames per second while on a weekend trip to explore new Dispersed Camping sites within the Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and part of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in my VW Vanagon Syncro Camper. Lost the HF-11 2012 and now using a Canon HF-G10 solid state video along with a GoPro Hero3 Black camera and gave it wings for a different perspective using my DJI Phantom 1. Now have a DJI Phantom2 and setting it up for FPV flight so better aerial videos should follow, as long as they are not completely banned.
