Aэросъемка Курортное Kara-Dag is the remains of a volcano that operated about 150 million years ago as a manifestation of middle Jurassic volcanism. Kara-Dag is an isolated mountain massif between the valley of the river Otuz river and Koktebel basin on the shores of the Black sea. The main parts of the mountain range Kara-Dag: Coastal ridge, stretching along the coast and the dome-shaped array of the Holy mountain, located in the depths of the land. The coastal range consists in turn of the ranges Karagach, hoba-Tepe, Magnetic and Kok-Kaya. On the North-Western slope of the Holy mountain is another peak — Small Karadag.
