Wings Wild Wall

Wings on the Wild Wall Great Wall of China I shot this video at the end of 2014 weeks before I left China after living there for 5 years. This is the 'wild wall' and these are my favourite sections that I used to hike on regulary. He has a taste for adventure and is just as 'at home' filming Khazak Eagle hunters in sub-zero Xinjiang as he is staying in the best hotels in Asia following the Australian Prime Minister around. A member of the Australian Cinematographers Society, James has previously received a cinematography award from them for his work while shooting for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation based out of Beijing, China. Most recently James has worked for the National Geographic Channel as Director Of Photography on a new landmark series called China From Above. Previous to this James has worked for ABC News (Australian) out of their Beijing news bureau as cameraman/editor and for Chinese Central Television (CCTV) where he was the first foreigner ever employed 'behind the camera' at their English language channel. James has also produced, filmed, directed and edited several of his own documentaries for various outlets including China Central Television News and Current TV. He is currently in post-production with a long term documentary project called Punt Wars. This is an observational documentary film shot in his home town of Cambridge that will receive its world premiere at the Cambridge Film Festival in 2015.
