Clay Cliffs from above

Clay Cliffs from above #exploringNZ - New Zealand Quailburn Road, Omarama, New Zealand The Clay Cliffs are huge pinnacles. Watch the 1-2 million years old pinnacles from a never seen perspective! The Cliffs are made of layers of gravel and silt, deposited by rivers flowing from glaciers. Compared to the nearby mountains, which are 250 million years old, the Clay Cliffs are relatively new. Today the gravel and silt layers can be seen as sloping bands as the strata have been tilted since their deposition 1-2 million years ago. They are located about 10km to Omarama.Footage taken with DJI Phantom 2 & GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition @ 1440p, 48 fps.Music: Mathias Godgave - HOPE AIR.
