Nini Andrade Silva The interior design of The Vine has been masterfully created by the Internationally acclaimed Madeiran Designer, Nini Andrade Silva. Nini drew her inspiration from the centuries of wine production on the island together with the influence of each season. Born in Funchal in 1964 and trained in Design at Lisbon’s Institude of Art and Design (IADE), Nini Andrade Silva has worked in New York, London and Paris and now actually lives between Lisbon and Funchal where she has two studios.With The Vine, Nini has added to her growing collection of awards. At the 2009 European Property Awards she received ‘Best Hotel Interior Design’ and shortly after received the award for ‘Best Suites’ at the 2009 European Hotel Design Awards. In 2009, The Vine was also runner-up in both the World Architecture Festival and the International Property Awards for ‘Best Interiors and Fit Out’ and Hotel Interior Design, respectively. Ricardo Bofill Levi Designed by the world famous Catalan architect, Ricardo Bofill in collaboration with architect João Francisco Caires, The Vine Hotel has a refined ambience of sophistication and exuberance taking on the unmistakable style of the Spanish architect, giving maximum representation to post-modern contemporary architecture. Winner of various awards, Ricardo Bofill is one the most highly regarded architects on the world stage. Born in Barcelona in 1939, his studies began at High School in France and then at the Technical College of Architecture in Barcelona. Shortly after, he took his studies to the next level in Switzerland at Geneva University.
