Huashan Mountain

Huashan Mountain - Mount Hua - Mt. Huashan is one of the five secret mountains in China, famous Huashan cliffwalk located in it's south face.Huashan Cliffwalk 华山长空栈道 Huayin, Shaanxi, China (82) feet high / (25) meters high 6 foot span / 2 meter span. Northern China’s most famous national park, Mount Hua consists of several summits that are connected by a series of narrow hiking paths. Many of these routes became famous for their steep, dangerous nature with no railings and no easy way to pass oncoming hikers. The scariest pathways were constructed with wood planks just one meter wide suspended out from the steep, smooth rock face. Now a popular tourist attraction, visitors wear straps that connect to a horizontal chain and wire bolted into the side of the rock at intervals of several meters. Guests must constantly connect and then disconnect two safety carabiners as they progress along the precipitous pathway to ensure they will survive any slips or falls. The rock slopes of 70 to 80 degrees drop hundreds of meters and might cause vertigo for those unprepared for the hike. Mount Huashan is also considered one of China’s Five Great Mountains with religious significance that goes back over a thousand years. The many temples and religious sites made the mountain especially important to Chinese Daoists who believe it is a place where the gods of the underworld live. There are many online videos of the hike. Two of the better ones can be seen below. www.highestbridges.com Huashan Mountain - the best aerial videos
