Karekare Waterfall south of Auckland New Zealand/Karekare, Auckland, New Zealand/Whether this is your final destination, or a diversion– the Karekare Falls is a beautiful waterfall and well worth a look. It won’t be the only waterfall you see either, as there are a series of cascades as they head to the beach. The Karekare Falls are only a few minutes walk from the road side.Head down Karekare Road until you get to the 2nd car park by the beach, then head via foot over the small bridge where you’ll see the track to the Karekare Waterfall to your left. You’ll see it from the roadside, but only 3-5 minute walk will get you close up and personal.Karekare is a popular surf beach, and a coastal settlement.  It is a geographically contained area with constrained vehicle access and limited parking capacity.  Council provides and manages the carpark and public toilets at the main car park. There is a pou whenua situated alongside this car park.
