Monastery Frauenthal What you must not fail to do at the Frauenthal Monastery, which was founded in 1231, is to try the local doughnuts or pieces of dried apple in its own shop. Why not take a trip out to the Bützen country restaurant at the same time? You can easily get there on foot in about 20 minutes.I was looking out for some practice location, as my wife started to become my camera operator on our DJI S1000 just a couple of days ago.While surfing on the the internet I found a very old monastery, which has its founding routes back to the year of 1240.So this seemd a nice place to shoot a 775 year old building with a one year old DJI s1000 and GH4.I've setup a mail to contact and check with the nun's, if it would be ok to overfly their proprety and ig there were times where they would be disturbed.Sister Maria Consolated called me to check what this was all about and agreed that we could take a few shots.So just a few days later we packed our gear and went to the monestary Frauenthal.We loved to fly there and the gear worked great and trusty as always.The finished clip has been reviewd by the nun's and they love how their old property shows up.When  they asked me if they could use it for free on their site I agreed as they were so open minded and helpfull.Just a few hours after the release on Vimeo, someone from CNN contacted me, if they could use it for TV and online relase.
