Southend on Sea Pier RNLI Southend-on-Sea Lifeboat Station Pier Hill, United Kingdom/ Flying above Southend Pier the landmark of Southend-on-Sea. Extending1.34 miles (2.16 km) into the Thames Estuary, it is the longest pleasure pier in the world. Sir John Betjeman once said that "the Pier is Southend, Southend is the Pier". The pier is also a Grade II listed building. Fly Safe!I had permission from Southend Pier, Southend Borough council and Southend Airport to fly around the Pier. I do not make or gain anything from my videos except experience and the love of flying drones.I will be making a future video promoting the work of the RNLI, in making that video I wanted some footage of Southend Pier. But for the moment I wanted to share the amazing views above the pier for you to enjoy. My Set Up.I'm flying a DJI Phantom 2 with Zenmuse, GoPro Hero 4 Black. AVL64 + BlackPearl. I filmed in 4K 30fps with Protunes ON. Removed the fisheye effect in GoPro Studio, edited and graded with Final Cut Pro.
