UCF athletic complex Orlando, FL, United States/The grand facility located in the heart of UCF's new north section of campus is still the nation's newest college football venue, Bright House Networks Stadium. Home for the UCF Knights football program, Bright House Networks Stadium sprawls over 25 acres, seats 45,301 and serves as the crown jewel of the schools' burgeoning Athletics Village. Bright House Networks Stadium is part of a $60 million project that included financing costs, reserve requirements, infrastructure, roads, parking and practice fields for football, soccer and baseball. The UCF men's and women's basketball programs call the beautiful 10,000-seat UCF Arena its home since the start of the 2007-08 season. Located in the heart of Knights Plaza on the expansive north side of campus, the state-of-the-art facility opened in the fall of 2007 to packed crowds event after event. The UCF Arena's unique design provides an intimate atmosphere for all students, alumni, fans and supporters, while creating a formidable environment for opponents. With a raucous student section, dubbed the "Knightmare", the UCF Arena has quickly become of the more formidable basketball facilities in the entire southeast. Magnificently, the design does offer perfect sightlines for all fans, giving every spectator a spectacular view. One of the elite volleyball-only facilities in the nation, The Venue at UCF seats 2,000 fans for volleyball matches and is located on the north side of campus. Formerly the UCF Arena, the facility was completely renovated and re-opened in April 2008 as an 87,000-square foot multi-purpose, air-conditioned facility. At The Venue, the UCF men's and women's basketball programs moved into enviable space on the second level, while the women's volleyball program gained an exclusive home court to rival any in Conference USA. The Venue is also home to several premier concerts during the year, as well as mixed martial arts events and conventions Opened in August 2003, the new Wayne Densch Sports Center serves as home to the UCF football program as well as houses the athletics department's main sports medecine facility and strength and conditioning centers.
