Zizhu Temple Tibet
Zizhu Temple Tibet 西藏丁青孜珠寺. Dedicated primarily to Guanyin, Neimen Zizhu Temple was passed by
Provincial Commander Shui Shi during the Qianlong Emperor's reign, who discovered that the scent of incense was always in the air here, calling it a remarkable sight, and entered it to pray.
Accordingly it was inscribed “Purple bamboo produces spring (Zizhu Shengchun”, this was when it was officially named
Zizhu (Purple Bamboo) Temple. Zizhu Temple has been
standing for over 300 years, and has been renovated many times. Now it is a
sprawling temple to to Guanyin, and comes alive on the 19th day of the 2nd lunar month, the 6th lunar month, and the 9th lunar
month, which respectively mark the Buddha's birth, enlightenment and leaving home.
