La Purificadora Hotel

La Purificadora Hotel Puebla, Mexico/Located in the historic center of Puebla, a colonial city on the road between Mexico City and Veracruz, La Purificadora is the new incarnation of a late 19th-century factory long used to purify water. The tradition of purity is still the guiding leitmotif at this minimalist yet modern and edgy hotel designed by Legorreta + Legorreta, the sixth by Mexico's trend-setting Grupo Habita. The retention of many of the building's original elements, including crumbling walls and stone aqueducts, lends La Purificadora an air of authenticity, while modern juxtapositions like a glass-walled swimming pool and sleek purple lounge chairs create a clean, sophisticated ambience. The resulting mix of new and old is truly stunning. Most of the hotel's 26 guestrooms—including three suites with private whirlpools—offer spectacular views of the hotel gardens and the city center beyond, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lobby is one of the most friendly spaces in the hotel, with its two fireplaces and a spectacular view of the church of San Francisco. The hotel has three lounges or meeting rooms of different sizes and capacities for business meetings, screenings and press conferences.La Purificadora Restaurant offers contemporary honest Mexican cuisine. The shared tables were designed by architect Ricardo Legorreta and were produced with old wood that was founded in the former ice factory. The Chef's Table is an exclusive place to host banquets, business meetings, family meals and private events of any kind.
