We chased the Durango & Silverton Train by drone & car in this video as the train winds through breath taking canyons of the San Juan National Forest. As well as showing this vintage steam locomotive we also show the beautiful scenery of the Animas River & San Juan National Forest. The drive on routr 550 from Durango to Silverton is one of the top 10 most scenic drives in the US. You can take the train one way and ride the bus back. I also recomend renting a All Terrain Vehicle to really see this beautiful countryside.
