Between Metochi and Kymi there is a well-hidden beach which could be reminiscent of an exotic location from somewhere outside. This is Thapsa beach which is just after Tsilaro beach. What is special about this beach is the fact that the mountain slope ends right next to the sea and the Aegean Sea. To get there you need to follow exactly the same route as you would to Tsilaro Beach and climb a fairly long and difficult uphill road. This "uphill" road has improved a lot compared to previous years and can now ride a non-Jeep vehicle. However, great care is needed as it is a dirt road that is highly variable in weather but also in use.
