Stock Footage of this video as well as our other aerial videos available at tampaaerialmedia.com Tarpon Springs home to the largest Greek population located on central Florida’s Gulf Coast in the Tampa Bay Area. Greek eateries line waterfront Dodecanese Boulevard, a legacy of the Greek sponge divers who settled here in the early 1900s. Along the water, the Historic Sponge Docks https://spongedocks.net/. The Sponge docks are a reminder of the once booming industry. We feature St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral built in 1943 which replaced the original building built in 1907. The church hosts an annual epiphany celebration on January 6 in which Greek Orthodox boys aged 16 to 18 dive into Spring Bayou to retrieve a cross. A statue of an epiphany diver is located in front of the church. Our sister company, Celebrations of Tampa Bay has shot many weddings inside this beautiful church. Tarpon Springs a Taste of Greece - the best aerial videos
