Immagini di Portovenere effettuate all'alba dopo la festa della Madonna Bianca con ancora qualche luminaria accesa. Riprese effettuate con un drone classe 450 - Gimbal Zenmuse H3-3D - GoPro. The Protected Marine Area of the Regional Natural Park of Porto Venere includes the south western side of Palmaria Island, Tino and Tinetto Islands and the prairie of Posidonia in the channel that separates Porto Venere from Palmaria Island. Distinguished by different environments such as shoals, caves and sheer drop rock walls, if offers underwater world enthusiasts the possibility to discover a world of brightly colored and unusually shaped organisms. Especially interesting is the presence of all the species of gorgonian, a typical coralligenous organism. It is possible to find the Eunicella, the species of Paramuricea clavata known as red gorgonia and the Leptogorgia sarmentosa: all at greater than normal depths. Numerous caves that proceed underwater can be visited by bathers and divers: the underwater caves of Tinetto island in addition to their fascinating natural beauty are special since they communicate with the outside through a crack where sunlight penetrates and creates spectacular light effects that make the dive magical: the Grotta Azzurra of Palmaria Island, so called because of the blue reflections of the light: the Grotta del Tino, the famous Byron’s Cave located behind Punta San Pietro in Porto Venere which, although it is not part of the Protected Marine Area, deserves to be mentioned because of its sea bed rich in organisms, and for this reason a popular site for divers. As mentioned, the Protected Marine Area of the Park of Porto Venere is distinguished by its prairies of Posidonia , that in spite of its small dimensions represents an important environment both for the organisms in ideal living conditions and for its defense against the corrosion of the coast line since it is a natural barrier to wave motion and the currents. Because of its special features, the habitat of the Posidonia prairies has been included in the Executive functions of Community 92/43/CEE (POLICY ON HABITAT) concerning the conservation and safeguard of the habitats present in the European territory. Among the leaves of these plants there is an explosion of life: it is possible to find salp, bogue, sea urchin, algas, labridum, the camouflaging needle fish and seahorses in addition to small shellfish, marine mollusks and star fish. For all these reasons the Posidonia prairies have been added to the Protected Marine Area, to allow the creation of a management and monitoring system with the aim of protecting and defending this important habitat. This area represents a pearl of extreme beauty surrounded by fascinating landscape and distinguished by a mixture of factors that make a visit to its sea beds an unforgettable experience./www.parconaturaleportovenere.it
